First Lady Kartumu Y. Boakai extols Second Lady’s Courage
Monrovia, Liberia - First Lady Kartumu Y. Boakai today welcomed Mrs. Stephanie Koung, wife of Vice President Jeremiah K. Koung, at her Executive Mansion Office in Monrovia.
The meeting marked an ecstatic moment, as Mrs. Boakai and Mrs. Koung, the Second Lady of the Republic, were both excited to meet once again.
In a brief discussion, Mrs. Boakai praised the young and vibrant Second Lady for her commitment to serving her country, imploring her to continue to do her best at all times.
As Mother of the Nation and former second lady, Mrs. Boakai took up time to share her experience and expertise with her daughter, Stephanie, as a way of further boosting her courage to serve Liberia.
The first and second ladies also discussed a wide range of issues of national concern and pledged to work together in supporting their respective husbands as they endeavor to transform Liberia.
For her part, Stephanie thanked the First Lady, whom she calls her mother, for the invaluable examples and legacy she left during her role as Second Lady and thanked her for the incredible piece of advice.
The Second Lady assured her support and willingness to always depend on the first lady for guidance as they both work in the interest of Mama Liberia.
